This morning, in the Kabansky district, a cemetery near the village of Baikalo-Kudara was burning. This was reported by the Republican Agency for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, dry grass was burning in the area. Two people and one piece of equipment extinguished the fire in 11 minutes. As a result of the fire, grass burned over an area of ​​300 square meters, three fences were burned, and the flames damaged the wreaths.

“According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire by unidentified persons,” the department clarified.

Residents are reminded that there is a special fire safety regime in the republic. It is strictly prohibited to burn dead wood and garbage, as well as use open fire. Cleaning in cemeteries can only be done without fire.

Violators face fines. For individuals this is an amount from 10 to 20 thousand rubles, officials will have to pay from 30 to 60 thousand rubles, and legal entities – from 400 to 800 thousand rubles.
