By the end of April, 420 trees should be planted in Saratov. The city administration reported this today, April 25.
According to the head of the Department of Environmental Protection and Green Spaces Ekaterina Zakharchenko, Planting will be carried out in all areas of the city. These will be large trees.
Thus, 30 birch seedlings and 50 silver poplars have already been planted in the Oktyabrsky district. Plants appeared on Entuziastov Avenue and along Novo-Astrakhan Highway.
“Large seedlings with a closed root system were planted. The girth of the trunk is 12-14 cm, the height is about 3.5-4 m,” Zakharchenko added.
In addition, as part of the landscaping, ornamental plants were planted in flowerpots that appeared in the central part of the city.
