From April 28 to May 1 and from May 9 to May 12, public transport will operate on weekends, warn the Ulyanovsk Ministry of Transport.

On the night of May 4-5, after the end of the Easter service, a special supply of buses and trams will be organized to the temples and churches of Ulyanovsk. Also on May 4, additional routes No. 111, No. 122, No. 140 will be launched from the “Park Pobedy bus station” stop to the Northern Cemetery, and route No. 344 to the Zavolzhskoye Cemetery.

On May 9—Victory Day—bus routes No. 30, No. 78, No. 22 and No. 84 from the city center to the left bank will be strengthened. Also, additional trams No. 4, No. 15, No. 22 and No. 90 will be launched on the line, which will take citizens to the Zheleznodorozhny, Zasviyazhsky districts and to the North.

If necessary, on pre-holiday days we are ready to organize additional bus services on intercity and suburban routes. Governor Alexey Russkikh has already instructed responsible persons to monitor compliance with the public transport schedule on weekends, especially in the evening.

Moreover, from May 1, the Ulyanovsk river port opens passenger navigation. Pleasure and excursion trips on the motor ships “Moskovsky-20” and “Moskovsky-1” will go to the Presidential Bridge. “Meteor” will be launched to Kazan.

And from April 30 to May 1, two additional long-distance trains “Ulyanovsk – Moscow” will be launched. Suburban trains will operate on a weekend schedule. From April 28, four new commuter trains will be launched on the Ulyanovsk-Maina section on weekends.

At the airport named after N.M. Karamzin will organize an additional flight to Moscow from April 27 (arrival at 16.20, departure at 17.10). Thus, five planes will fly to the capital every day.

Let us remind you that in the region there is free travel using a transport card on shuttle buses, trams, trolleybuses for participants and disabled people of the Great Patriotic War, as well as those awarded the badge “Resident of besieged Leningrad”, former minor prisoners of concentration camps and other places of forced detention created by the Nazis and their allies during World War II. An accompanying person can also exercise this right. Also, the preferential category can use railway transport for free when traveling within Russia.
