Modernization of water supply systems in the Kostroma region is proceeding at an accelerated pace

The Kostroma region actively participates in the Clean Water program, aimed at providing high-quality drinking water to settlements with a large number of residents.

Today in the Kostroma region construction of facilities continues in Manturovo, Kostroma and the southern part of the village of Kady.

Work on drinking water supply facilities in Kady and Krasny-on-Volga is being carried out ahead of schedule. Thus, in the Krasnoselsky district, preparatory work was completed to install a foundation slab for a water treatment station, a metal frame was installed, and work began on laying a pressure sewer network.

In Kadye, water supply systems are being updated. Last year, construction and installation work on the reconstruction of networks and water supply facilities in the northern part of the village was completed. Water supply networks have now been installed on six streets. The teams drilled artesian wells at three water intakes, installed foundations for a pumping station, a water treatment station building and other necessary structures. Two clean water reservoirs were also installed, and external domestic sewerage networks were laid.

In February of this year, the Kostroma region was among the three leading regions where the largest number of facilities were built and reconstructed as part of the project. In total, over the entire period of implementation of the Clean Water project, 28 water supply facilities were built in the region. Thanks to this, more than 60 thousand people are provided with high-quality drinking water.

In addition, plans for 2024, in addition to facilities in Manturovo, Kostroma, Kadye and Krasny-on-Volga, include the beginning of the first stage of connecting the village of Karavaevo to the central water supply system of Kostroma, as well as the village of Miskovo, the village of Kuzmishchi in the Kostroma district and the village of Molodezhny in the Krasnoselsky district.

Activities planned for this year as part of the Clean Water project will improve water quality for another 19 thousand people.
