The Legislative Assembly approved the regulations on the title “Honored Journalist of the Nizhny Novgorod Region”

On April 25, 2024, the Legislative Assembly considered amendments to the draft resolution establishing the title “Honored Journalist of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.”

Let us recall that the initiative was introduced by Governor Gleb Nikitin in February of this year, and the project was adopted as a basis in March.

Chairman of the Committee on State Power Vladimir Pakov (United Russia) announced that several amendments had been prepared to the draft document. Thus, the maximum number of recipients is increased from two to five.

In addition, they are adding the rule that in exceptional cases the title “Honored Journalist of the Nizhny Novgorod Region” can be awarded regardless of work experience. In exceptional cases, the experience must be at least 15 years.

Deputies approved the issue without discussion.

Let us remind you that earlier in the region, the titles of honored workers in a number of other fields were introduced – housing and communal services, architecture, construction, agro-industrial complex and others.
