From April 16 to 28, Perm hosts the XVIII Open Russian Ballet Competition “Arabesque” named after. Ekaterina Maximova. Samara is represented by ballet soloists Pedro Ceara, Laura Vasconcelos, Polina Marushina And Mukai Rintaro. The first two advanced to the third round, the regional Ministry of Culture reported.

Also taking part in the competition is a student of the Samara Choreographic School Angelina Baldinawhose partner is the ballet dancer Shostakovich Opera Ballet Anthony Austin. A tutor supports the children in Perm Yuri Romashko.

The closing ceremony of the competition and gala concert will take place on Saturday, April 27. The laureates’ presentation will take place on Sunday, April 28.
