On May 5, the Orthodox world will celebrate the main holiday – the Resurrection of Christ (Easter). On Easter night there will be a particularly large number of parishioners in churches. Candles will be lit here, and also, according to tradition, the Holy Fire will be lit. On the eve of holiday services, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia organized work to prevent fires and accidents in churches.
The press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia said that employees of the unit visited churches, where they conducted inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements. First of all, paying attention to ensuring free access to evacuation routes, the presence and operability of an automatic alarm system, primary fire extinguishing equipment, and the serviceability of electrical wiring.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also informed the clergy about the fire safety rules and gave recommendations on ensuring fire safety during services.
To ensure a safe Easter celebration for everyone, fire safety rules must be followed!
