The head of the administration of the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg, Alexey Gulchuk, spoke today live about the development of physical culture and sports in the district and answered questions from residents, the district administration group on VKontakte reported. As noted, the broadcast was carried out directly in the building of the new swimming pool with a 50-meter bowl.

“This pool was built by the Gazprom company under the Gazprom for Children program, handed over to the city,” said Alexey Gulchuk, “and Governor Alexander Dmitrievich Beglov made a decision to transfer this pool to the Olympic reserve school No. 3 for swimming in the Nevsky district.”

As noted, the pool is currently operating in test mode, but will begin operating in full in the near future. Residents of the Nevsky district will have the opportunity to come here at times when it is not reserved for the training process of professional athletes.

Previously, the St. Petersburg Diary reported that over five years, St. Petersburg developers transferred 125 social facilities to the city.
