--

The event, which was attended by dozens of young townspeople, took place at school No. 5. Preparations for the first city patriotic ball began before the coronavirus epidemic. Then it was not possible to carry it out. But this year, on the eve of the Victory Day celebration, the organizers were able to unite dozens of Youth Army members and students of cadet classes.

— In 2020, we rehearsed and prepared. They were supposed to hold a ball, but it didn’t work out,” said Olga Mikheeva, chief specialist of the Kaluga education department. – We decided to bring our idea to life. Moreover, next year will be the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. So now we can say we are rehearsing. Today we have collected several pairs from all schools in the city. Look how beautiful the guys are in these dresses, suits, uniforms and dress uniforms.

As Olga Mikheeva notes, the organizers tried to make a historical ball. The schoolchildren danced a polonaise, polka and waltz. Several themed games from previous years were also held.

— We remember the heroes of our Fatherland. This can be seen in such patriotic events in which our younger generation participates. “I congratulate all the organizers who decided to create such a proper city tradition,” said the Chairman of the City Council of Veterans, Evgeniy Yankelevich.

The Patriotic Ball helps to ensure the connection of times and the continuity of generations. According to the organizers, this event will become an annual event and will attract even more participants.
