The School of Olympic Reserve (SOR) No. 1 on the left bank of the district, which specializes in athletics, is currently undergoing major renovations – the work will be completed this year. A plot of land is also provided for the construction of an athletics arena, the head of the Nevsky district administration, Alexey Gulchuk, said today live.
According to him, at SHOR No. 1 they have completed the renovation of the hall for the rhythmic gymnastics department – it will be fully operational this year. For SHOR No. 2, a new building with halls for team sports and a country base are being built in Losevo, for SHOR No. 1 – a base in Tarkhovka. In addition, a decision was made to restore the ski base in the Nevsky Forest Park.
“As sports equipment breaks down, the Sports Center is carrying out repairs [внутридворовых] sports grounds,” he noted, adding that there are 32 of them in total, and they are repaired every year: “Last year there were two. This year, a boulevard will be built on 27 Krylenko Street as part of a comprehensive improvement project.”
