The head of the Ramonsky district administration warned Voronezh residents that scammers had begun to act on his behalf. In his official telegram channel, Roman Beresnev today, April 25, asked residents of the region to under no circumstances follow links, transfer money, or engage with the criminals who created his fake account.
“I ask representatives of all branches of government, as well as residents of the area, to remain vigilant, not to succumb to provocations and not to disclose their personal data,” the official asked.
Beresnev also duplicated the addresses of his official pages on VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, and recalled the address of the channel in Telegram. The head of the district asked to report all cases of fraud on his behalf to the local administration.
This is far from the first time that scammers create a fake account for one of the officials, and then begin to communicate with citizens hiding behind a name familiar to Voronezh residents. “Fake” accounts have been created more than once for the governor, the mayor of the regional center, and employees of municipal structures.
