The evidence collected by the investigative department was considered sufficient by the court to pass a verdict against the 49-year-old Vologda resident. He was accused of committing a crime under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Receipt by an official personally of a bribe in the form of money for performing actions in favor of the bribe-giver.”
The investigation and the court established that in 2017-2021, the head of the supply department of one of the Vologda enterprises producing dairy products, acting within the framework of his official powers, received 76,000 rubles from the head of two commercial organizations. The bribe was given to conclude agreements on the supply of special clothing and footwear necessary for the needs of the enterprise. Agreements were concluded between legal entities for a total amount of more than 900 thousand rubles.
The illegal activities of the defendant were suppressed by employees of the Department of Economic Security and Commissariat of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Vologda. The investigative department opened a criminal case.
During the investigation, inspections and searches were carried out in the official premises and at the place of residence of the defendant, and his property – a 2021 crossover – was seized in the amount of 2.5 million rubles.
The culprit was sentenced to a fine with deprivation of the right to hold positions in the civil service or local government for a period of two years. In addition, 76 thousand rubles were collected from the state to account for the confiscation of funds received as a result of the crime. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
In relation to the person involved, the investigative authorities investigated another criminal case of similar crimes, which was brought to court in March last year.
