The demand for representatives of blue-collar professions has increased significantly among employers in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This is evidenced by research data from hh.ru

Companies in the logistics and transportation sector, as well as the auto business, need specialists the most. 17% and 10% of vacancies for workers are posted there, respectively. In addition, blue collar workers are required in the retail, metallurgy and construction sectors.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, demand for workers increased by 58% over the past month. Thus, in 30 days, employers posted over 50 thousand new vacancies for Nizhny Novgorod residents with a working specialty. Drivers, laborers, mechanics and plumbers are most in demand in the region.

According to hh.ru director Olga Bryleva, job seekers themselves are in no hurry to find work.

“Currently there are more than 131 thousand job seekers in the Volga Federal District labor market. From the point of view of the ratio of the number of resumes per vacancy, we see a manifest personnel shortage: only 2-3 people per position,” the expert emphasizes.

Let us add that in the spring of 2024, workers are prepared to pay more than 70 thousand rubles per month, while the average wage has increased by 23 thousand rubles per year. By comparison, the salary of IT specialists in the region increased by only 17 thousand rubles compared to last year.

It was previously reported that the average salary in Nizhny Novgorod increased to 76,000 rubles. The income of city residents increased by 17% over the year.
