The problem with the flooded road on Podgornaya Street is planned to be resolved this year

The head of the Murmansk administration, Yuri Serdechkin, spoke about solving the problem with the road on Podgoronaya Street. This area is often flooded with water.

According to the head of the administration, it is problematic to repair the road on Podgornaya due to the fact that it was previously created for other purposes and did not involve heavy traffic, including personal traffic. In addition, there was no provision for a storm drainage system.

Traditionally, in the spring, part of the road – from Festivalnaya Street to the entrance of the fishing port – is flooded. To prevent this from happening, a major renovation of the site began in 2023.

Work on creating drainage and storm sewerage is now being completed. At the beginning of the construction season, road pavement will be created and asphalt concrete layers will be laid. This should solve the problem with the road this year, noted Yuri Serdechkin.
