Renting apartments in St. Petersburg may become cheaper at the beginning of summer

The head of the Yandex Rental service, Roman Zhukov, told us when housing rental prices will become cheaper in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

According to him, already now and until the end of May we can expect a reduction in apartment rental prices. By June, rent in Moscow and St. Petersburg may fall in price by 5%. The price reduction will be most noticeable in the segment of studios and one-room apartments.

Since March of this year, budget apartment offers have returned to the rental market after a prolonged increase in rental rates, which began in July last year. In some segments there is even a slight decrease compared to the autumn-winter season.

In St. Petersburg, Zhukov continued, the average price of offers for studios and one-room apartments is now 29 thousand rubles per month, compared with the beginning of spring, rates have decreased by 1.5%. In April, two-room apartments are offered for 50 thousand rubles per month, a decrease of 3%.

The only segment in the city where rental prices are rising are three-room apartments. Now the average price in advertisements is 91 thousand rubles, compared to March, rates have increased by 13%.

Earlier it was reported that Russia was discussing a possible increase in the rate on family mortgages.
