United Russia has extended the deadline for accepting documents from candidates for the primaries / 73online.ru

The deadline for accepting documents from candidates for the United Russia primaries, which was supposed to end today, has been extended until May 8.

Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrey Turchak announced this in his Telegram channel:

– By the decision of the Presidium of the General Council of United Russia and based on requests from our regional branches, we are extending the deadline for submitting applications for preliminary voting until May 8. Initially, according to the regulations, it was supposed to end on April 25.

He also added that there are many people who want to take part in the procedure as a candidate. Not everyone had enough time to collect the necessary package of documents. Now in the regions where elections will be held in the fall, more than 18 thousand candidates have registered for the preliminary vote.

In the Ulyanovsk region, deadlines are also being extended. This was confirmed to the 73online portal by the head of the regional executive committee of the party, Konstantin Dolgov.

In the fall, by-elections to the Ulyanovsk City Duma and to the village council of deputies of the Kuzovatovsky district will be held in our region.
