All departments and workshops of the organization are provided with the necessary equipment

Ice drift is expected in Arkhangelsk on April 25–26. For stable operation during the spring flood period, the enterprise is fully provided with all the necessary chemicals for water and wastewater treatment. The quality of drinking water is under daily monitoring. Laboratory specialists take water samples every two hours.

— We check daily both chemical and bacteriological indicators, as well as turbidity, color and a number of others. Now the water is becoming harder, but this will not affect the quality of the drinking resource in the apartments of city residents. We fully control all parameters, — noted the head of the Central treatment facilities of the RVK-Arkhangelsk water supply system, Pavel Abdrakhimov.

All divisions and workshops of RVC-Arkhangelsk are provided with the necessary equipment and a supply of materials to carry out emergency repair work. The motor transport workshop is equipped with components and consumables, as well as a strategic reserve of fuels and lubricants.

All equipment of the enterprise, including sewer washing machines and sludge suckers, are ready for operation. In conditions of increased load on the drainage system due to abundant melting of snow and ice, special attention is paid to the stable functioning of sewer pipelines and wells.

— In conditions of ice drift and flood, all production facilities are under the continuous control of specialists and management of RVC-Arkhangelsk. We carry out preventive inspections and flushing of main sewers so that the water supply and sewerage system functions as normal. During the May holidays, all services of the enterprise will work in high alert mode, — emphasized the chief engineer of RVC-Arkhangelsk Dmitry Cherkashin.

After reconstruction, the Central Pumping Sewage Station is able to pump a significantly larger volume of wastewater through itself than it was in previous years. This will be provided by four new powerful pumps. In optimal mode, they pump 4,100 cubic meters of wastewater per hour.

If necessary, the productivity of each pumping unit can be increased to 1250 – 1300 m3 per hour, the total productivity of the station can be increased to 5 – 5.2 thousand m3 at one o’clock. This will allow the flood to pass as normal.
