In Ulyanovsk the stop “Ulitsa Tukhachevskogo” will be renamed

The city administration explained that this would be done in order to perpetuate the memory of graduates of the Higher Military Engineering School of Communications.

In accordance with the resolution of the Ulyanovsk administration, they plan to install a memorial sign at house No. 19 on Tukhachevsky Street, where the Interregional Signal Corps Training Center is now located.

The tram stop “Ulitsa Tukhachevskogo” will be renamed “School of Communications”.

This year marks 72 years since the Higher Military Engineering School of Communications was stationed in the city of Ulyanovsk. Over the years of operation, the educational institution has managed to train more than 25 thousand officers. They serve in Russia and abroad. Most of the graduates have high state awards, seven are Heroes of the Soviet Union, one is a Hero of Russia.
