The Komi State Council decided to transform the Knyazhpogostsky district into a municipal district. As part of this process, the administrations and councils of deputies of the nine settlements included in the district will be abolished. However, local authorities will remain in the form of territorial bodies. It is believed that the next step will be the re-election of district council deputies.

The proposal to transform the area into a county was supported by all settlements after a public hearing. The Knyazhpogostsky municipal district will include the urban settlements of Yemva and Sindor, as well as the rural settlements of Seregovo, Shoshka, Turya, Meshchura, Trakt, Iosser, Chinyavoryk. The head of the municipality expressed confidence that this transformation will be a positive step in the development of the region.

According to the explanatory note to the bill, territorial bodies will be created in place of settlement administrations, which will actively work in the territory. This will optimize labor costs and distribute the load more rationally. The document also points to a number of other factors, such as population decline, financial insolvency of settlements, and lack of qualified personnel.

The initiators of the project emphasize that the creation of a unified district will bring significant benefits. The territory management system will be simplified, a consolidated budget will appear, and responsibility for resolving local issues will be transferred to a higher level. In addition, this will save budget funds, reduce the administrative apparatus and ensure balanced development of the territory.

The creation of a single municipal district will also make it possible to introduce uniform tariffs for utilities and transport, and establish general rules for improvement and taxation. Thus, it is planned to form a unified and coordinated approach to the development and management of the territory, which will ultimately benefit the residents of the region.
