Volgograd City Hall announced and canceled a street dance festival

On the morning of April 25, the administration of Volgograd announced in its telegram channel the holding of the youth dance festival “Dancing City”. According to the mayor’s office, the event, in which about 350 youth representatives planned to take part, was to be held for the seventh time. However, according to the Height 102 news agency, three hours after the announcement was released, officials announced the cancellation of the festival.

The street dance festival was to take place on the stage of the amphitheater on the evening of April 26, and everyone was invited to participate. 36 choreographic ensembles, dance groups and creative associations were going to perform on the lower terrace of the Volgograd embankment with 50 dance numbers. They promised to reward the most talented people during the event.

However, the festival, according to the city administration, will not take place. In the announcement of cancellation, the Volgograd mayor’s office refers to the decision of the organizers.

– The organizers decided to postpone the seventh open street dance festival “Dancing City” to a later date. The new date of the event will be announced additionally, – the ad says. At the same time, we note that the reason for the cancellation is not stated. The Volgograd administration also failed to voice it to the correspondents of the news agency “Vysota 102”.

Let us remind you that for security reasons in the Volgograd region, mass events on the occasion of May Day, as well as the main events on Victory Day, were canceled this year. Only the Victory Parade will take place in the hero city on May 9.
