Over the past five years, 24 times more roads have been repaired in Karelia than in the previous five-year period

In 2023, the republic fulfilled plans for the repair of roads and bridges, as well as the indicators of the national project “Safe Quality Roads”. At the end of the year, the volume of Karelia’s road fund exceeded the 2018 level by 3.6 times.

Over the past five years, more than 1,190 km of regional roads have been repaired in the republic, which is 24 times more than over the previous five-year period. The region’s achievements are marked by a diploma from the Russian Government and the symbolic “Golden Skating Rink”.

“In 2024, we plan to repair more than 200 km of regional roads, including 49 kilometers of roads included in the Support Network,” said Artur Parfenchikov.
