Road workers have begun repairing the Tambov-Shatsk highway, during which they will put in order two sections with a total length of 86 kilometers. The work is being carried out according to the regional state program “Development of the transport system and road infrastructure of the Tambov region”

Almost 1.5 billion rubles have been allocated for road repairs. Previously, the largest holes and damage were eliminated here using cast asphalt concrete. The work is planned to be fully completed by October 1, 2025. Such a long period is due to the large volume of work due to the fact that sections of the route have not been repaired for many years.

The poor condition of the coating causes numerous complaints and complaints from drivers. The head of the Tambov region, Maxim Egorov, ordered the road to be repaired.

– The object is complex and deserves special attention. The work will be carried out in stages. I keep the progress of the work under personal control and ask for public control to get involved – the Popular Front, the deputy corps, – said the Head of the Tambov Region Maxim Egorov.

The development of regional roads is one of the central themes of the Address of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly. In the Tambov region, the list of areas for repair is formed taking into account requests from residents. According to the national project “Safe Quality Roads,” sections of roads along which school bus routes, passenger transport, and to tourist and cultural sites pass are being put in order.

Let us remind you that in 2023, 95 km of roads and 3 bridge structures were updated under the national project. Based on the results of our work, our region was noted at the federal level among the leaders in the implementation of the national project and for the second year in a row received an award – a diploma and a symbolic “golden skating rink”. According to all programs, more than 320 kilometers of roads were brought into standard condition last year.

In 2024, in the Tambov region, road sections with a total length of more than 200 kilometers were included in the repair program. These include city streets, regional highways and local roads leading to socially significant facilities: educational and medical institutions, sports facilities, tourist places.

Including the national project “Safe quality roads“It is planned to repair 35.6 kilometers, three facilities in the Zherdevsky, Tokarevsky and Uvarovsky districts.
