The transfer of vehicles was initiated by the Acting Governor of the Vologda Region Georgy Filimonov.

“The Vologda region handed over the fifth batch of off-road vehicles to the Northern Military District soldiers. These are three cars – Niva and 2 UAZ. In total, the region has already sent 13 vehicles that will be used in the combat zone. All costs for repairs and delivery of equipment are borne by the regional budget,”– said Georgy Filimonov.

All vehicles were selected from the unused reserve of regional institutions throughout the region. The vehicles were diagnosed and repaired by the Vologda Region Fire Service.

During repair work, special attention was paid to driving performance and increased cross-country ability in off-road conditions.

In addition, along with the vehicles, another batch of humanitarian cargo was sent – generators, gas for portable gas appliances, a dry dugout shower and much more.
