A geomagnetic storm covered the Murmansk region. For April 25, the probability of a weak magnetic storm is 25%, for April 26 – 20%. However, the probability of weaker geomagnetic disturbances for both days is about 40%.
At the moment, quite high flare activity remains, which will last at least another 2-3 days. Higher Class X outbreak risks also remain, although less likely.
Starting Friday, solar activity, regardless of level, will lose the ability to influence the Earth.
– The forecast through the end of the week predicts a moderately high level of activity for the next 3-4 days, with increasingly decreasing risks for the Earth. The next holiday week is expected to be calm. A new attempt on the part of the Sun to test the strength of the Earth’s atmospheric and magnetic shields will most likely begin on the 10th – 20th of the coming month, in May, reported the Laboratory of X-ray Astronomy of the Sun at the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
