A teleconference between schools in Pskov and Chinese Jining took place on the eve of Twin Cities Day

The teleconference between Pskov and Jining took place on the occasion of the International Day of Twin Cities as part of the international educational project “Language and Culture,” the Pskov administration reported to PAI.

The meeting-acquaintance was attended by the directors of PILG, PPC, Humanities Lyceum and Multidisciplinary Lyceum No. 4, and from the Chinese side, the heads of Haida Xingzhi School, Yanzhou No. 6 Middle School, Jinxian No. 1 Middle School and Jinxian No. 2 Middle School took part .

On behalf of the head of Pskov, Boris Elkin, the partners were greeted by Deputy Head of Administration Alexey Nesmashny. The city of Jining was represented by the director of the foreign affairs department, Wang Changguan.

The meeting participants exchanged information about educational institutions and ongoing programs and projects, and also agreed to form “pairs” to conduct language exchanges between schoolchildren, create clubs for studying the cultures of the two countries, and others.

“The richness of language and culture, history and traditions is certainly a good basis for cooperation and friendly interaction. There are thousands of kilometers between us, but we are connected by the desire to cooperate and be friends!” – Alexey Nesmashny noted following the meeting.

He also expressed confidence that the meeting would mark the beginning of a partnership between schools in Pskov and Jining.
