April 25 at about 14:00 in the area of 32 on the street. Ordzhonikidze Tver, the driver of a Mercedes truck hit a 9-year-old boy. The child was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing from right to left in the direction of travel of the vehicle. As a result of the accident, a minor pedestrian was injured and was taken to a children’s regional clinical hospital.
The head of the department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Tver, Sergei Maksimikhin, addresses drivers: “When approaching an unregulated pedestrian crossing, the driver is obliged to reduce speed and be extremely careful, and if necessary, stop in order to let pedestrians on the roadway pass, giving them the opportunity complete the road crossing safely, do not be distracted by talking on the phone or with your passengers.
