Pupils of Nizhny Novgorod orphanages received grants for the implementation of business ideas

--

Two pupils from Nizhny Novgorod orphanages became the winners of grants to implement their business ideas within the framework of the All-Russian project “Blagentrepreneur”. According to the press service of the regional government, the grants were issued based on the results of the educational session of the project in Kazan.

According to the Minister of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Igor Sedykh, during the educational session of the project, young Nizhny Novgorod residents gained valuable experience in defending their business ideas and communicating with mentors and like-minded people.

Each girl received a grant in the amount of 80 thousand rubles. Darina B., a ward of the Epiphany Orphanage, defended her project “Macrame”. Thanks to the grant, she and her team will weave fashionable country swings. Polina T. from the Dzerzhinsky sanatorium orphanage is planning to purchase a 3D printer with grant support, which she will use to print various custom products.

The all-Russian project “Blagogrepreneur” provides assistance to orphans in mastering the basics of personal financial literacy from the point of view of social business projects. The project is being implemented by one of the country’s charitable foundations with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.

Let us remind you that in 2022, the pupils of the Epiphany Orphanage became the owners of a grant from the “Benefactor” project. Their initiative to create a mini-cheese factory received financial support. Currently, the guys are successfully producing homemade cheeses.

Last year, pupils of the Epiphany Orphanage presented two of their business ideas to the jury: a project for the production of hand-tufted carpets and a project for remaking old things using scrap materials. The Dzerzhinsky sanatorium orphanage presented a project to create themed board games to develop the emotional intelligence of children and maintain the mental activity of older people called “Game is a serious matter.” In addition, the team of the Gorodets orphanage presented the idea of creating a cleaning service “Clean House”. It is noted that all four business ideas were supported and received grants – the winning projects are still being implemented today.
