42 residents of Murmansk received scholarships from the head of the municipality during the year

Chapter Prizes were awarded to 30 laureates

In 2023, 42 people received scholarships from the head of the municipality of Murmansk. A year earlier, 38 city residents were scholarship recipients. Mayor Igor Morar told B-port about this following his report on the results of his activities for 2023.

According to him, clarifications have been made to the Regulations on scholarships for the head of the municipality of Murmansk. Now the chapter’s scholarship can be used to reward not only the winners, but also the prize-winners of the city competition “Student of the Year”.

Prizes from the head of the municipality “For personal contribution to the development of culture and art of the city of Murmansk” were awarded to ten laureates last year, “For personal contribution to the development of physical culture and sports of the city of Murmansk” to ten laureates, and “For active public work” to another ten.

13 citizens received the honorary badges of the head of the municipality “Veteran of Sports of the City of Murmansk”, the badges “Sports Valor” – three, and the badges “Honorary Veteran of Sports of the City of Murmansk” – two.

388 citizens and one team were awarded certificates of honor from the head of the municipality, and 618 Murmansk residents received letters of gratitude.

In addition, in 2023, Igor Morar decided to award 17 citizens with the honorary badge “For contribution to the development of the city of Murmansk” in various fields (regions).
