Sergei Ovsyannikov on the improvement of the Rakhova boulevard: We will monitor the implementation of the tasks assigned to the district administration | 25 April 2024, 17:34

“Today we held an on-site working meeting on the improvement of the boulevard on the street named after V.G. Rakhov.

Let me remind you that it first began to be improved in 2017 as part of a program to create a comfortable urban environment. Here the sidewalks were repaired, new playgrounds and sports grounds, bicycle paths, dog walking areas were installed, lighting, benches, automatic watering were installed, and a lawn was planted. Over the course of several years of work, the boulevard was transformed and became a place of attraction for citizens.

Today, this public area is not in the best shape. This was noticed by one of the residents who came to see me. Last week, together with Larisa Viktorovna and the Chairman of the Duma’s Standing Committee on Urban Affairs, Vyacheslav Tarasov, we inspected the territory of the boulevard and became convinced that it needed to be improved: paint the benches, repair the paving slabs, structural elements of the playgrounds, the irrigation system, and restore the lawn. At the same time, the immediate task was to hold an on-site working meeting on the issue of improvement of public areas. Today it took place.

Together with colleagues Vyacheslav Tarasov and Vyacheslav Doronin, representatives of the district administration and MBU for improvement, the resident determined a plan of priority work. So, on May 1, automatic watering should start working; before this time, you need to remove garbage, water trees, paint benches and trash cans, wash the surface of children’s playgrounds from the sand that has accumulated after winter, and carry out landscaping work before June 1. The tasks of the district administration have been set, and we will monitor their implementation and deadlines. It is important that the boulevard is assigned an employee responsible for the maintenance of this territory.

I repeat once again: the boulevard has been under renovation for several years. Everything was done wonderfully. Now the main thing is to maintain the original condition of the landscaped area. As they say, put on a mess! If this requires an increase in funding, this problem should be raised with the parliamentary corps. Let’s lend a shoulder!

The district administration needs to set itself the task of making this boulevard an exemplary one and remaining a place of attraction for residents and guests of our beautiful city!”
