A 25-year-old resident of Tver became a victim of scammers. As the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Tver region reported, the young man began to correspond with an unknown person who introduced himself as a “stock analyst.” The swindler offered the victim to “earn money” on the crypt.

The Tver resident was tempted by this get-rich-quick offer, installed applications from three banks and transferred money to the bank card and phone number specified by the swindler. After that, he received a message by email from an IP telephony number, which stated that he still needed to pay an additional $7,700. The young man followed all the scammers’ instructions. In total, he transferred them about 3 million rubles.

Soon the false broker stopped communicating, and the Tver resident did not receive the promised rain of money. The victim stated that he did not immediately suspect deception and contacted the police only two days later.

The police opened a criminal case under the article “Fraud”. Criminal investigation operatives are actively searching for the perpetrators.
