More than 300 people submitted documents to participate in the preliminary vote

On April 25, at the Headquarters of Public Support of the Republic of Mari El, the organizing committee for the preliminary voting in the elections of the State Assembly held a regular meeting, at which interim results for the past week and statistical data were announced.

Today, by decision of the Presidium of the General Council of United Russia, it was announced that the deadline for submitting applications for preliminary voting was extended until May 8. Initially, according to the regulations, it was supposed to end today, April 25.

Acting head of the regional executive committee of the United Russia Party Anton Volkov reported that 300 candidates for deputies of the State Assembly of the Republic of Mari El have already registered to participate in the procedure. More than 200 candidates submitted documents to participate in the elections to the Assembly of Deputies of the Yoshkar-Ola urban district.

Many of them are trying their hand at politics for the first time. For such participants, the Higher Party School has prepared the “Politstart” project, after completing which the candidate receives a general understanding and basic skills in conducting election campaigns.

Among those who decided to take part in the preliminary voting there are also participants and veterans of the Northern Military District. Let us note that this election season the rules for their participation in preliminary voting have been simplified.

Let us remind you that documents for participation in the preliminary voting of United Russia are accepted until May 8. Voters can register to vote in advance beginning April 15. Voting for candidates will take place by ranked electronic voting from May 20 to May 26. Its results will be announced by May 29.
