A state of emergency was introduced due to the emergency building No. 9 on Shevchenko Street in Nizhny Novgorod. The two-story building is located next to the IT campus dormitories under construction and the entrance to the metro bridge. The emergency zone is established within the boundaries of the land plot below it. It was approved by a city hall resolution dated April 25.
The emergency response regime at the local level began to operate after a meeting of the commission for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations, held on February 29. It was introduced to prevent a threat to the life and health of people, the document says.
The administration of the Nizhny Novgorod region was instructed to fence off the area under the house with tape and draw up a plan for emergency rescue and other urgent work. Together with the Ministry of Property, she needs to continuously monitor and control the condition of the building.
The wooden building on Shevchenko, 9 is not an architectural monument. According to the database “My house” on GIPERNN.RU, it was built in 1917 or a little earlier. The two-story building contains 4 apartments. It is included in list of 13 emergency houses, which the Ministry of Property intends to seize through the requisition mechanism. Depending on the condition of the buildings, a decision will be made on their demolition or restoration.
Earlier we wrote that three buildings with the status of cultural heritage objects (CHH) in the center of Nizhny Novgorod confiscated from the owner through the court. The reason was the poor maintenance of historical houses, No. 17 and 19/29 on Nizhegorodskaya Street, as well as No. 13 on Yaroslavskaya Street.
