Bridges in Veliky Novgorod are washed with shampoo after winter

--

In Veliky Novgorod, a planned cleaning of all bridges and their barriers is being carried out. This work is being carried out by specialists from the municipal government agency “City Management,” the press center of the mayor’s office reported.

According to the deputy director of Gorkhoz, Alexander Novgorodsky, yesterday, April 24, employees of the institution tidied up part of the barrier fencing and the tray part on the Alexander Nevsky Bridge and Nikolai Antonov Alley. Next, specialists will carry out the same work on all bridges and fences.

Cleaning is carried out using a watering machine equipped with a technical shampoo intended for washing streets and barrier fences. The use of a detergent is necessary to protect bridge structures from the negative effects of metal particles, tire wear products and oils.

After applying the shampoo to the tray parts and barrier fences, specialists leave the product for 20-30 minutes until a chemical reaction occurs. Next, wash off the dirt with another watering machine.

“This year we purchased special brushes that work on the basis of the MK-2000 municipal machine,” added Alexander Novgorodsky. – They will have an additional mechanical effect on the dirt that remains after winter maintenance.

For the maintenance of urban areas that are included in the area of responsibility of “Gorkhoz”, you can contact the hotline 8 (8162) 152 303. Applications for cleaning the street and road network included in the area of responsibility of the contractor company “Solid” will be accepted by the organization’s dispatcher phones: 8 921 200 09 34 and 8 (8162) 920 934.
