• Alexander Fomin, suspected of giving a bribe to Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov, was sent into custody. Ivanov himself is also in a pre-trial detention center. All property and bank accounts registered in the name of the current and former wives, as well as five children, were arrested. The military man is suspected of receiving a kickback from a private company in the amount of a billion rubles.

• Orthodox oligarch German Sterligov disinherited his wife and three children. The businessman called his wife a “heretic,” his daughter a “prodigal,” and his two sons “prodigal sons.” According to the Federal Business Journal, two more sons of Sterligov are recognized by their father as Orthodox Christians and will not be affected by the sanctions.
• Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there are no revisions of the results of privatization in the country, and individual cases of seizure of enterprises from private shareholders are associated with a threat to the country’s security and national interests. The head of state recalled that many privatizations of the 90s were agreed only with regional authorities, but not with the federal center.
