A huge worm crawled out of the toilet in an apartment in the Avtozavodsky district in April 2024

A giant worm was discovered by residents of an apartment in Nizhny Novgorod. The invertebrate insect allegedly swam into the toilet from a sewer pipe. Eyewitnesses spoke about this on social networks.

According to unofficial information, the incident occurred in a residential building located in the Avtozavodsky district. However, the building number and exact address are not specified.

“This is what we had in the toilet today! Either a snake, or some kind of worm… Horror,” writes the author of the post.

Opinions were divided in the comments. Some thought that this news was fake. Someone even suggested that the Nizhny Novgorod residents planted the worm to “make noise.” But there are those who really believed in the existence of an unknown creature. Then citizens advised to clean the sewer.

Our colleagues from the news agency “In the City of N” turned to specialists for help to find out who had “flocked” to the residents of Nizhny Novgorod. Presumably, this may be a representative of marine ray-finned fish from the needle family.

“It’s hard to see, it’s probably a seahorse, it’s going to die soon,” said Maria Vedunova, director of the ISBM UNN.
