For guests of Dergaevskaya school No. 23. Ramenskoye took a tour of the school catering unit. Gennady Onishchenko was shown technical equipment, kitchen utensils and told about the school menu.

“Meals, and especially schoolchildren’s meals, must be balanced. It always needs to maintain a balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. The presence of microelements and fibers that are important for a growing organism in the foods consumed is extremely necessary. Only then can it be called healthy eating,” said Gennady Onishchenko.

The activities are aimed at preserving and strengthening the value of leading a healthy lifestyle.

“The all-Russian campaign “Traditions of Healthy Eating” will help increase the literacy of schoolchildren in matters of responsible attitude to nutrition. Thanks to it, participants will learn about the main principles of leading a healthy lifestyle and will be able to become more familiar with the food traditions of their region,” commented Roman Romanov.

The school also hosted a presentation and tasting of dishes prepared by families of the district as part of the regional project “Family Breakfast 2.0.” It is held within the framework of the Federal party project “World of Opportunities” of the United Russia party in the Moscow region together with the Let’s Do It Together movement. Schoolchildren and their parents shared recipes for dishes and talked about the traditions of their preparation. In addition to classic pancakes with various fillings, the guys surprised the guests with cheesecakes, homemade dumplings, miracle flatbreads and beet pancakes.

“The Moscow Region project “Family Breakfast 2.0” is aimed, first of all, at the joint activities of children and parents. Cooking dishes according to traditional family recipes helps preserve the core values, on the basis of which strong, united families are created. This year, project participants from all city districts are preparing and presenting homemade pancakes. The winners of the municipal stage will go to the region, where they will not only prepare their unique dish in front of the jury, but will also compete for the title of the most “delicious” district,” shared Yuri Makeev, coordinator of the party project “World of Opportunities” in the Moscow region.

Last year, more than 1,000 families in the Moscow region became participants in the regional Family Breakfast project. In total, more than 200 schools in the region took part in the “Healthy Eating at School and at Home” campaign. Participants shared videos of healthy food recipes, taught lessons on proper nutrition to primary schoolchildren, and created interactive games. The best of them went to the Artek International Children’s Center.

Earlier, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, noted that the Moscow region is trying to ensure changes, to build those facilities that are important for every family.

“A school, a kindergarten, a clinic – without this it is impossible to imagine a quality stay in the city,” Vorobiev said.
