The head of the city of Kirov, Elena Kovaleva, explained why they refused to develop the hippodrome area. The issue of changes to the city’s general plan was put to rest at a meeting of the City Duma.
Changes to the general plan implied a change in the status of land plots in the hippodrome area. They are intended for the construction of sports facilities. The owner of the land, in turn, insisted that it become a zone with the type of permitted use “Multi-storey residential development”.
This issue was previously discussed at a meeting of the United Russia faction, where Governor Alexander Sokolov voiced his position – he stated that it was inadmissible to change the status of the territory.
“The deputies completely agreed with her. This was reflected in the voting results: by an overwhelming majority of votes, it was decided to refuse to change the general plan for the mentioned land plots, Elena Kovaleva wrote in her Telegram channel.
Let us remind you that we are talking about the boundaries of the streets of Captain Pletnev, Ulyanovskaya, Entuziastov and Architect Zyankin. 24 deputies voted against the development, five people abstained, and one voted in favor.
