Russia may lower the level of diplomatic relations with the United States in response to asset confiscation. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov.
“Russia is considering the option of downgrading the status of diplomatic relations with the United States in the event of practical measures to confiscate its assets,” Ryabkov said. His words are reported by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the US Congress passed a bill on the confiscation of Russian assets in favor of Ukraine. The document was supported by 360 congressmen, while 58 were against it.
