In 2023, three schools were completed in the Tula region. We are talking about 1,100 places in the Baltiysky residential complex, 100 places in the village of Yamny in Tula, and also 400 places in Donskoy. A kindergarten for 75 places was also put into operation in Tula. This was announced by the first deputy governor of the Tula region – the chairman of the regional government, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, during a report on the results of the work of the regional government for 2023 in the field of education.

He emphasized that the Tula region is one of the first regions where 100% accessibility of preschool education is ensured.

This year, Fedorishchev emphasized, two new schools will open in the regional capital, with a total of 1,700 places. This should reduce the number of children studying in the second shift. Also, under the school overhaul program, nine facilities were renovated – in Tula, Efremov, Plavsky and Chernsky districts.

Also, as part of the national project “Education”, 33 “Growth Point” centers were created in 2023. In total, there are now 150 of them in the Tula region, the total number of children covered is 18 thousand people. Gyms in three rural schools have been renovated. In 2024, according to Fedorishchev, it is planned to create 31 more “Growth Points”, as well as three children’s technology parks “Quantorium” and one center for digital education “IT-cube”.

Last year, computer and presentation equipment was updated in 40 schools in the Tula region. More than 130 specialized pre-professional classes operate in cooperation with universities, enterprises and other organizations.

Also, the federal project “Professionalism” continues to work in the region. Its goals are practice-oriented training and the involvement of business in the formation of training programs. Currently, students from six clusters can undergo training at enterprises in priority sectors of the economy (three educational and production centers in the chemical industry, two educational clusters in the tourism and service industries, one educational cluster in the media and communication technologies industry). This year, two additional educational and production clusters of the agricultural and mechanical engineering (MIC) industries will also be created. During the period of implementation of “Professionalism”, 30 enterprises from the real sector of the economy joined the project.

Fedorishchev also added that acceptance under targeted contracts is expanding. It is planned that this year their number will increase by more than 2.8 times – from 328 to 902. The region shows a consistently high level of employment of graduates of secondary vocational education – 89.8%, which is higher than the federal plan (62.7%).

Vyacheslav Fedorishchev also announced that, on behalf of the President of Russia, a program for repairing secondary vocational education institutions will be launched.
