A new well at the Arkhangelsk water intake was drilled in the Volga region

The authorities of Ulyanovsk are increasing the reliability of the water supply of the New City. For this purpose, a new well was drilled at the Arkhangelsk ground water intake, the mayor of the city, Alexander Boldakin, announced on April 25 in his telegram channel.

— In the future, we will begin to lay networks to connect to the group water pipeline that supplies consumers in the aircraft manufacturing area; all the necessary materials for this have already been purchased. Heavy equipment will begin work as soon as weather permits. We plan to complete all activities by mid-May.

The flow rate of the new well is about 160 cubic meters per hour, the depth is about 90 meters. The new source will ensure an uninterrupted supply of the purest artesian drinking water to residential facilities, the social sphere and partly the industrial sector of a significant part of the Zavolzhsky district.

Also, in case of emergency situations like the one that occurred in September last year, thanks to the new source of water supply, we will be able to quickly create a supply of water in special reservoirs, the mayor noted.
