Today, April 25, the Sovetsky District Court of Novosibirsk received a petition from the investigation to select a preventive measure in the form of detention for an associate professor of the Department of Physical Education at NSU. He is suspected of receiving a bribe from a student in the amount of 21 thousand rubles.
According to the Courts of General Jurisdiction of the Novosibirsk Region, being an employee of the Novosibirsk State University, Sergei Yevtushenko personally received a bribe from a student in the amount of 21,000 rubles under the guise of payment for using the gym. He is also suspected of committing illegal actions in favor of a student – with the help of a teacher, he passed the intermediate certification and received a pass without actually attending physical education classes.
Today the court considered the investigation’s request to select a preventive measure in the form of detention against Sergei Yevtushenko, but it was denied. The suspect was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest until June 22 of this year. The associate professor was released from custody in the courtroom. The court ruling did not enter into legal force.
