Tele2 has modernized its network in the Volgograd region

The operator carried out large-scale work to expand the network infrastructure in the Volgograd region. Technical improvements affected 8 large cities and 4 districts.

Tele2 continues to develop network infrastructure in the Volgograd region. The operator has significantly expanded its coverage area and network capacity, and also increased the speed of mobile Internet both in large cities in the region and regional centers, and in small towns.

Tele2 has improved network coverage in Volgograd, Volzhsky, Kotovo, Uryupinsk, Surovikin, Novoanninsky, as well as Leninsky, Sredneakhtubinsky and Bykovsky districts. The technical management of the company paid special attention to the densely populated residential areas of the regional capital: the infrastructure was strengthened along the streets of Shauliaiskaya, Pribaltiyskaya, Gorokhovtsev, Krasnopresnenskaya, Bauman and others.

To ensure uninterrupted operation of the network and increase data transfer speeds, Tele2 has modernized the network infrastructure in Kamyshin, Kotelnikovo, Elansky district, as well as in other agglomerations.

In addition, the technical management of the company strengthened the infrastructure in Volgograd and its suburbs – communications were improved on the territory of Lyudnikov Island, the river port and the main embankment in Volgograd, as well as in the Tulaka tunnel.

The work carried out made it possible to significantly increase the network capacity and data transfer speed in the context of growing Internet traffic – in the first quarter of 2024, the growth in mobile Internet consumption in the Volgograd region amounted to more than 18% compared to the same period last year.

Specialists from the technical directorate analyze the workload of base stations, which allows us to plan work to increase the capacity and throughput of the network, focusing on the needs of our clients in using digital services. Systematic work allows us to provide a high level of service to the company’s subscribers, wherever they are: in the center of Volgograd during a mass event or in a small village hundreds of kilometers from the regional capital.
