Anti-aircraft gunner Alexander Khabarov died heroically in the spring of 2024 in the village of Terny, Kramatorsk region of the DPR. The soldiers came under massive artillery fire. According to fellow soldiers, enemy fire made it difficult to quickly provide assistance to the wounded. According to the online publication Selskaya Nov, Private Alexander Khabarov was posthumously presented with the Order of Courage. He was 34 years old.
“Alexander reacted decisively to the summons from the military registration and enlistment office, saying that the Motherland needed his help and protection. I didn’t doubt it for a minute. He served in the Northern Military District for a year and a half. Sasha is our hero. There are not enough tears – says the head of the Kuzminsky territorial department, Liliya Fedorova.
Alexander’s family moved to the village of Mikhailovka, Znamensky District, when the boy was three years old. Here he grew up and studied, graduating with honors from the Tambov school, receiving the profession of a welder. While serving in the army, the guy signed a contract.
On August 22, 2022, as part of partial mobilization, Private Khabarov went to the Northern Military District and served on the territory of the LPR. Was injured. After rehabilitation he returned to duty.
— Sasha was a very bright, positive, loving and kind person. He has a lot of friends. We still can’t believe that he will never be around again,” says Natalia.
On the day of the funeral, representatives of the military commissariat, relatives and friends, residents of the Znamensky District and Tambov came to say goodbye to Alexander. The man is survived by his wife and ten-year-old son Artem.
