Agapkin’s anniversary will be celebrated in Tambov with a concert of children’s orchestras

A concert of children’s wind instruments “And people remember your famous march” (0+) will be held in Tambov. It will be dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of military conductor Vasily Agapkin.

The brass band named after Ilya Shatrov and the brass band of music school No. 2 named after Viktor Merzhanov will perform on stage.

They will perform works by domestic and foreign composers: Sergei Rachmaninoff, Johann Strauss, Dmitry Shostakovich and others. Agapkin’s most famous work, “The Slav’s Farewell” (6+), will be performed by a combined orchestra.

Starts on April 27 at 18:30 in the assembly hall of the Rachmaninov Institute.
