Supporting families with children is one of the priorities of the state at all levels. For any citizen, and especially for large families, any support measures from the state, especially financial ones, are important. Natalia Isakova, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Council of the branch of the Russian Historical Society in the Pskov Region, Director of the State Archive of the Pskov Region, stated this to PAI.
“A significant part of the family budget expenses goes to utilities, food, transportation and basic necessities. Getting a child ready for school by September 1 is a problem for all families, and if there are several children in a family, who usually outgrow everything over the summer, this is a global problem. Only together can we achieve our goals,” she concluded.
Let us recall that in the Pskov region the regional package of measures to support large families has been expanded. From August 1, large families can receive an annual cash payment for each child to purchase clothes for attending classes and sports uniforms in the amount of three thousand rubles, as well as the right to free travel on public transport on city and suburban routes, free meals for children from large families families studying in general educational and professional organizations.
