13-year-old Artyom Perkov from the village of Linevo, Iskitimsky district, Novosibirsk region, and his dog independently extinguished a natural fire. The boy saw the burning field during lessons on April 19 from the school window.
The Iskitimskaya Gazeta told about the brave teenager.
After school, the boy did his homework and went for a walk with the dog, deciding at the same time to see if the field had been put out. Just a kilometer away from it the forest began and there were residential buildings. An hour later, Artyom returned home, all smelling of smoke. He had to trample the fire with his feet, because he was already approaching the birches. The student coped with the fire without the help of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Earlier, Gorsayt wrote that a fire season has begun in the Novosibirsk region.
