On Thursday, April 25, in Magadan, at the Podvig center, a solemn ceremony of seeing off Magadan conscripts into the army took place. Eleven recruits were sent to the service, which will take place for the guys in the Far Eastern Federal District. All of them have already been equipped with uniforms and received the necessary personal belongings, the press service of the Magadan City Hall told MagadanMedia.
Deputy Mayor of the city Oleg Averyanov addressed the conscripts with parting words:
– Today you are no longer just Magadan guys, you have become real men. I am sure you will walk this path with dignity. This year will fly by very quickly, and we will welcome you home. Don’t forget to write and call your loved ones, they are worried and waiting for you. Good service to you.
Specialists from the military commissariat of the Magadan region note that the command of military units praises Magadan conscripts. Today’s guys will not let their predecessors down and will continue this tradition. They have a serious attitude, the guys are really ready to serve in the Armed Forces. During it, they will be able to gain new friends and invaluable experience, develop real masculine qualities, and improve their physical shape.
The representative of the Magadan diocese, head of the department for interaction with the Armed Forces, Priest Vasily Byzgaev, also addressed the guys. He wished the conscripts good health and successful service, presented them with the Gospel and sprinkled the children with holy water.
“You have a completely different adult life ahead of you.” We all wish you that your service will be successful and that you will have a comrade’s reliable shoulder nearby,” he noted.
The cadets of the Podvig club presented the defenders of the Motherland with memorial signs and gifts from the city administration, and Magadan artist Andrei Vasiliev performed the song “Serve Russia” for the conscripts.
The guys were embraced by their family and friends. Then the conscripts went to the airport.
