At the exhibition-forum “Russia” a meeting was held “Sport. Opportunities of the Future”

On Thursday, April 25, as part of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at VDNKh, the Day of National Priorities was held, at which a plenary session was held on the topic: “Sport. Possibilities of the future.” It was dedicated to discussing priority areas of work in the field of physical culture and sports for the period until 2030.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko took part in the meeting. Welcoming words and presentations were made by the Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin, the Chairman of the Council of the Federal Territory “Sirius” Elena Shmeleva, as well as representatives of the relevant federal and regional federal executive authorities.

The participants discussed the development of physical education and sports in the country’s schools, strengthening investment attractiveness in this area, prospects for student sports and other issues. The executive director of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tkachev, took part in the plenary meeting.
