In Saratov, it is planned to modernize two large substations

The results of the heating season in the Saratov region were discussed at a meeting of the Regional Government. Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy of the region Andrei Kulanin reported on the results of the work of enterprises in the fuel and energy complex.

According to him, in general, the heating period of 2023-2024 was completed by generation enterprises in a standard manner. “Emergency situations and local damage were eliminated in a short time,” added Andrey Kulanin.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Saratov region maintains its position as a donor region, consuming 32% of the generated energy and providing electricity to consumers in other regions.

During the meeting, the issue of developing fuel and energy enterprises, in particular, the electric grid complex, was discussed.

The region is implementing a program to increase output at the existing power units of the Balakovo NPP and a program for the comprehensive modernization of equipment at the Saratov HPP. Rosseti Volga PJSC is consistently modernizing and technically re-equipping substations and power lines in the regional center and districts of the region. In Saratov, the company plans to modernize two large substations. These are “North-Eastern” and “Techsteklo” in the Leninsky district, feeding part of the city with a population of over 71 thousand people, social and industrial facilities.

The modernization of two more substations is planned in the Sovetsky and Krasnokutsky districts.
