The Astrakhan-Bryansk gang robbed pawn shops for 23.5 million rubles

--

In the Bryansk region, a gang of Astrakhan and Bryansk residents who robbed pawn shops throughout Russia was convicted. The prosecutor’s office of the Bryansk region reports this

The gang consisted of three Astrakhan residents and three residents of Bryansk. They stole money and jewelry from pawn shops and ATMs. The criminals went on criminal tours to Astrakhan, Ulyanovsk, Bryansk and Pogara. Over three years of “work” – from 2019 to 2021 – they stole 23.5 million rubles, in addition, they damaged property worth 25 million.

The bandits prepared well for the robberies: they assigned roles, calculated the arrival time of the guards, and conducted rehearsals. However, they were unlucky at the last crime scene: the Astrakhan police became aware of the impending attack, and they were caught red-handed while trying to take the terminal out of a bank in Astrakhan.

Three radios, knitted hats with slits for eyes, three pairs of cloth gloves, wire cutters, and a master key were found in the car of the attackers.

The court sentenced the gang members to a sentence of 4.5 to 8.5 years in prison, depending on each person’s participation.
